The Butlers- The Calenture Tour

In addition to being plagued by scurvy and homesickness, Sailors of yore who dared the tropics also had ‘Calenture’ to worry about. When given a case of this fever they were likely to imagine that the sea around them was really a green field and to leap into it.

A little bit lost at sea and months since their last New Zealand tour, The Butlers have been pondering on some new material. The five-piece’s new single 'Calenture' takes you through the delirium of love with help from waving, pulsing keys from Stingy Hooligan, deep and heavy drum and bass lines from George and Jordy, and stinging guitar from Bradley and Walt steering the ship.

Its something new from the boys.

People of Auckland, be sure to steer clear of the feverish delirium and come along to ‘The Calenture Tour 2019.’

Marlin's Dreaming - NZ Tour (EARLY SHOW)

Psychedelic pop rockers Marlin’s Dreaming have announced a three stop tour of NZ, just weeks after finishing a full-length record, set for release at the top of next year.

From gliding pop ballads, to grungy post-punk, Marlin’s Dreaming have been continually striving to diversify their sound and improve their live performances.

Hailing from a cold, damp flat in Hope Street, Dunedin, the band released their first body of work, Lizard Tears In October 2017, just a couple of months after forming,. It was an eight song mix of indie pop tasters, and one reworked track from frontman, Semisi Maiai’s, former band GROMz. The album reached huge popularity across streaming platforms worldwide, and transitioned into two sold out tours of New Zealand.

In 2018 Marlin’s Dreaming released their second body of work, Talk on Commic. The EP retains the wry humour of Lizard Tears, but is less mannered: a darker beast with 90’s fangs evoking many of the post-punk greats.

Disentomb NZ Tour 2019 - EARLY SHOW

Disentomb are an Australian death metal band from Brisbane. They were founded soon after the disestablishment of Brisbane death metal act Cadaverine by three of its five members: Jordan Phillip, Henri Sison and Jake Wilkes formed Disentomb, together with bassist Tom Joice. The band have released two full-length albums, Sunken Chambers of Nephilim (2010) and Misery (2014).

Aaron Lynn of Death Metal Underground opined that the group "creates dark and dissonant brutal death metal yet still stays true to the frenetic riff-salad recipe that is inherent to the brutal death metal artistic voice. On Misery, the internal dialogue of these riffs projects the type of landscape we might find in a dystopian wasteland, tearing songwriting down to its bare, primal foundations in a method evocative of early Suffocation."

ASTRAL PEOPLE and Handsome Tours are excited to announce Injury Reserve for their first ever Australia and New Zealand tour this June 2019.

Injury Reserve play Auckland's Neck of the Woods on Saturday 8 June.

The rap trio from Phoenix have started the year off with a bang, dropping track 'Jawbreaker' in January and now they’re back with new single 'Jailbreak The Tesla feat. Amine'.

Injury Reserve, who recorded their debut mixtape in a dentist's office (and titled it 'Live from the Dentist Office'), have had an interesting journey from the USA suburbs to a coveted "A MINUS" from Robert Christgau, the "Dean of American rock critics," in his column for Noisey. From playing house shows to being played on Beats 1 Radio by Ebro. How did it all happen? What makes producer Parker Corey and rappers Stepa J. Groggs and Ritchie With a T special?

For Complex, it's their boundary-pushing, "DIY weirdness." For Billboard, their fashion sense and fearless honesty. Pigeons and Planes admires their group dynamic, calling them "one of the best new groups in hip-hop," while Mass Appeal nods to their cinematic vision. Anthony Fantano's interest in their ability to balance tradition with innovation is well-documented on the Needle Drop, where he published 8/10 reviews of 'Live from the Dentist Office' and last year's 'Floss'. The latter, a major breakthrough for the group with features from Cakes da Killa and Vic Mensa, is energetic, refined, and in Christgau's words, "the most unpretentious hip-hop you ever heard."

They moved their studio from the Phoenix dental office where Corey’s grandfather practices to a house in Altadena, California. Following a sold out world tour, they inked a new deal with legendary A&R Hip-Hop as part of Loma Vista Recordings.

Fresh off the back of a huge SXSW show, Injury Reserve will be bringing their unique sound with their trademark energy to our antipodean shores.
