The Others Way Festival 2025

Tamaki Makaurau's favourite street party is back!

The second line-up announcement for Tāmaki Makaurau’s favourite street festival has just dropped, and it’s nothing short of flipping brilliant. Saturday 29 November across Karangahape Road, there’s only one place you should be.

Just announced as joining dozens of mind-boggling acts at The Others Way this year is
none other than Connan Mockasin, making his grand return to Auckland in band format for the first time in 6 years. Also appearing amongst the astounding new array of acts are Brooklyn’s Emily Sprague-fronted band Florist (appearing as a duo); truly iconic Dead Moon founder and Portland rock’n’roll stalwart Toody Cole & Her Band; London club queen and “Goddess of Rhythm” Karen Nyame KG; Melbourne folk & trip-hop favourite Georgia Knight; sought after Pōneke rapper and singer-songwriter Mā; Cory Champion’s boundary-pushing jazz outfit Clear Path Ensemble; Aotearoa Music Award-winner for Best Alternative Artist Jim Nothing; enigmatic rapper jackaltheblackal, Ōtepoti’s big guitar sound darlings Pearly*, and the one-two collaborative punch of local rap hero Brandn Shiraz with sought after producer Caru.

In recent years, the all-ages stage at The Others Way has been one of the most vibrant places to catch the next-big-things, and this year is no exception. Down with the kids this year are Pōneke guitar slingers Dropper featuring Jude Savage (ex-Bleeding Star), Tāmaki based musician, interdisciplinary artist, and extraterrestrial witch VIDA, alternative rock band and “clowns with hand grenades” Capricore, “heavy psych drifters” Crying Ivy, and riot grrrl faves Lipstick Cherry.

The Pitt St Methodist Church stage will be a secondary all-ages space, and includes performances from Tiny Ruins (duo), Shannon Lay (US), and Holly Arrowsmith. A full stage schedule and All Ages final details will be announced in November.

“The festival where everything is awesome” - Chris Schulz, Boiler Room

These phenomenal new names join a truly scorching roster of previously announced acts, including the world dominating majesty of Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory (US), set to headline our brand new main stage.

Also on the menu, Aotearoa’s fabled masters of big noise High Dependency Unit, back to saturate your ears for their first live shows since 2017; Canadian “sonic nonconformist” Saya Gray is headed our way for her debut NZ show; The Phoenix Foundation performing their recently reissued cult classic Pegasus in full; and Zambia’s “Zamrock” legends W.I.T.C.H. are intending to cause havoc, Others Way style. All this and a heck of a lot more.

And, as a reminder, for the first time ever we’re closing down KARANGAHAPE ROAD! Expect the whole dang block between Queen Street and Pitt Street to transform into the party of your dreams, with our main stage landing right near the Rainbow crossing.

You heard it here, folks. We’re shutting down the street, throwing K Road the biggest party you’ve ever seen, and bringing you the wildest line-up in the festival’s history. You don’t wanna miss it.

PLEASE NOTE:
THIS IS AN ALL AGES EVENT, BUT ALL AGES TICKETS DO NOT GRANT ACCESS TO ALL ZONES, ONLY TO DEDICATED ALL AGES STAGES (FLYING OUT BASEMENT + PITT ST METHODIST CHURCH)

Church Presents Pride 2026

CHURCH presents PRIDE 2026

A night shaped by community, intention, and the freedom to show up as your whole self.

For Pride 2026 we are bringing something truly special. Pilar and Haley are flying all the way from San Francisco to join us. Many of us first came to know them through the Netflix series The Ultimatum Queer Love, where their honesty, kindness, and realness captured the hearts of queer people everywhere. Since then we have followed their journey closely and felt the impact they carry as a couple and as individuals.

Pilar arrives as our headliner. A DJ and producer raised in music, creating edits, remixes, and original tracks from her home studio with a sound that transforms the room. She is powerful, skilled, and unmistakably herself behind the decks. Haley brings her own presence and warmth. The grounded energy that made so many of us love her from the moment she appeared on screen. To have both of them in our space is an honour.

Pride at CHURCH is not just an event. It is a ritual. A gathering of our chosen family. A celebration of queerness, joy, and the communities that hold us. Expect a room built on colour, intention, and connection. Music that moves you. People who feel like home. A night designed with care for every person who walks through our doors.

We will release a limited number of Meet and Greet tickets for those who want to meet Pilar and Haley before the set and share a moment together.

Come as you are. Stand with us. Celebrate with us. Let the night carry you.

Cream presents Kirollus (UK) - Disco Down Under Tour

Time to dust off your dancing shoes Auckland, the groove master Kirollus is coming to show us how it’s done.🕺🪩

This November he’s bringing his eclectic, all-vinyl magic! Expect a soundtrack that spans 70s soul, rare disco, deep house, and jazz funk.

Auckland | Neck Of The Woods

Saturday 8th November

10pm - 4am

Support from: GoldTooth

About Kirollus:

One of Kirollus’ greatest strengths is his ability to take listeners on a
journey and unify the dancefloor. His strong affinity to music and
understanding of the psychological power of sound enables him to
evoke the emotions of others with his unique delivery and selections.

Nothing quite compares to seeing Kirollus perform in person, his
larger than life persona behind the turntables clearly comes from a
place of authenticity and a genuine connection with those on the
dancefloor. His eclectic all vinyl sets are deeply rooted in a soul and
groove, nurtured during his 8 years tenure behind the counter at
Uptight Records in Hove and an obsession with uncovering music
from decades gone by. During this time Kirollus has developed an
enviable collection and ear for music which far surpasses his years
and has managed to gain the appeal of a wide demographic whilst
staying true to himself both musically and his personal convictions.

His platform Groove Anthology is a product of Kirollus’ love of
connecting people through music and dance with the goal of
increasing the opportunities for the many overlooked DJs in the
industry. The last 12 months has seen Kirollus at festivals all across
the UK and headlining shows throughout Italy, The Netherlands and
other parts of Europe, including a dynamic b2b with Detroit legend
Marcellus Pittman in Geneva.

P L A C E Holder - A Fundraiser For A Community Owned Soundsystem

In a communal effort, a fistful of the motu’s finest and most unique selectors join hands in this all star lineup. Through five back to back sets, we welcome you to join us on a journey through underground club sonics from across the globe.

Kaiviti & Bbyfacekilla
DJ Twice & Lakeboon
Foxtrot & Faulsk
Fern & Faber Morrow
Jane Olsen & Damon Arts

All proceeds from this escapade will be funnelled directly into the construction of a brand new, community owned soundsystem.

If for any reason you are unable to afford the cost of a ticket, don’t hesitate to contact us via Instagram - we are more than happy to facilitate.

The following passage is our attempt to summarise the goals and aspirations that this project hopes to realize.
…..

A Soundsystem to Weave Community Together

We are building a community-owned soundsystem which aims to extend the potential of our vibrant and dynamic underground music scene. Rather than offering a service for hire, we aim to emphasize the accessibility, inclusion, interconnectedness, and experimentation that are essential for our beloved community to thrive.

We take inspiration from collectives and facilitators who actively support and prioritize the input of marginalized groups, ensure safety, and enable freedom of expression in the spaces they hold. In that spirit, our aim is to strip away barriers, share knowledge openly, and keep the crew open and evolving. The system belongs to the community, and anyone who wants to get involved should feel welcome to step in!

Our current reality is challenging: venues are scarce, money is tight, and it can be difficult to bring ideas to fruition - but the underground has always found resilience in adaptability. Soundsystems can be instrumental in supporting adaptability, allowing music to exist outside of the limits imposed by markets.

At the crux of it, we hope this soundsystem enables our peers to explore possibilities, to use new and unconventional spaces and venues, to take opportunities to learn, to collaborate and connect, to build more rigs and build the community.

Strung Out presents Vegyn (UK) - DJ Set

Strung Out Touring & Astral People are proud to present Vegyn

Sprawling with obtuse basslines, sharp digital peaks and asymmetrical drum machines, Vegyn’s music doesn’t walk a straight line so much as trip over itself beautifully. The London-born producer, artist, DJ and label head returns to Australia and New Zealand this October for a rare run of headline shows, supported by NYC producer amr*.

Across everything he touches - from surreal club sets to production work for Travis Scott, JPEGMafia and Frank Ocean - Joseph Thornalley makes music that’s hard to pin down and harder to forget. His productions are jagged and abstract, built from negative space, ambient haze and rhythms that never quite resolve. There’s hip hop in the DNA, but it never plays by the rules, always veering towards something stranger, softer, rawer.

Through his label PLZ Make It Ruins, Vegyn has built an entire world. His 2019 debut Only Diamonds Cut Diamonds felt like a manifesto; the 71-track Text While Driving If You Want To Meet God! followed as a chaotic, genre-agnostic statement of intent. Since then, he’s ventured further leftfield, releasing The Head Hurts but the Heart Knows the Truth under the alias Headache, followed by the 2024 masterpiece The Road to Hell Is Paved with Good Intention, and the unexpected arrival of Blue Moon Safari - an output that feels made more for himself than for any audience. Dreamlike, disjointed and deeply personal.

As a DJ, Vegyn shifts between industrial breaks, ambient drift and warped club memories. This October, he returns to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Wellington and Auckland - a rare chance to slip through the cracks and step inside his world.

Electric Panther presents Vladimir Ivkovic

VLADIMIR IVKOVIC (SALON DES AMATEURS)

Some of our favourite dancefloor experiences over the years have been when we have experienced true cult underground heroes, and now we get the chance to host one of the best in Aotearoa for the first time, and in his only NZ date here in Tāmaki Makaurau.

VLADIMIR IVKOVIC is a DJ. He's more than that of course, but at his essence, Ivkovic is someone with a particularly unique talent for selecting records and weaving them into a larger and often unusually compelling narrative.

A selector's selector, he has become legendary for his adventurous, slow-burning sets. Industrial chug, heady drift, dubbed-out electronics: no matter what he's playing, he locks you into a deeply compelling trance.

Born and raised in Belgrade, he first dabbled in DJing as a teenager in the mid ’80s, but it was only after leaving Yugoslavia (to study in Germany) and later coming back for a summertime visit that he truly immersed himself in the craft, taking up position behind the decks during a series of impromptu parties at a lakeside restaurant run by his parents.

Eventually, Ivkovic found his musical and spiritual home at the legendary Salon des Amateurs, an unassuming spot in Düsseldorf that’s gradually proven to be wildly influential, giving rise in recent years to otherworldly talents like Lena Willikens, Tolouse Low Trax, Jan Schulte and many others, including Ivkovic himself.

With its small size, Salon des Amateurs provided something of an open platform, a place where true music lovers could experience DJs exploring sounds and genres that strayed far from traditional electronic dance music tropes. That same adventurous spirit has found its way into Ivkovic’s curation of Offen Music, a label he launched in 2015. Experimental Serbian rarities sit alongside ambient excursions and moody synth-pop in the label’s catalogue – the label’s open-minded approach and embrace of off-kilter sounds perfectly encapsulates Ivkovic’s artistic temperament.

In recent years, that temperament has increasingly found devoted followers all around the globe. Ivkovic has become a staple of the European club and festival circuit; despite his many years in the humble confines of Salon des Amateurs, he’s proven to be just as comfortable at celebrated settings like De School, Berghain, Dekmantel, Sub Club, Phonox, Fold, and others too numerous to list.

The much loved and sonically borderless Vladimir joins us in the NOTW basement for an extended 3hr set on the Ghost Soundsystem.

CHURCH Halloween

CHURCH CLUB presents Halloween!

Saints, sinners, witches, and wandering spirits! The altar is dressed, the candles are lit, and this year’s Halloween sermon is ready to set the night alight.

CHURCH is back for its annual queer Halloween ritual — a night where holiness meets chaos, and the dance floor becomes our chapel of camp. Whether you’re a terrifying temptress, a devilish daddy, or a creature from the crypt, come ready to serve looks that slay the soul.

This year’s poster art is blessed by Small Batch Pottery Co, whose Joker-faced nun brings just the right balance of reverence and rebellion. Consider it a divine omen to go bold, go weird, and go gloriously over-the-top.

Expect:
DJs curated by our Immaculate Mother of Audio Worship, Marjorie Sinclair
Special guest artists to be announced
Prizes for the most unholy outfits

Our pews are the dance floor. Our prayers are the basslines. And on October 18th, we gather to worship in the name of glitter and glorious queer chaos.

Strung Out presents YT (UK)

UK’s breakout rap sensation YT hits Australia & New Zealand this October

YT has carved out a lane entirely his own — a sound built on electrifying jerk beats, autotuned hooks that stick in your head, and a razor-sharp lyrical style that’s as witty as it is unapologetic. From his cult SoundCloud tape #SWAGRENAISSANCE to his viral hit “Black and Tan” with Lancey Foux, he’s established a distinctive British sound that’s turning heads worldwide.

In just two years, he’s gone from Oxford student to millions of streams and headline shows across Europe. Tracks like Prada or Celine and MVP have only fuelled the fire, and his latest tape OI! proves why he’s one of the most exciting voices in rap right now.

This October, YT lands in Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth for his debut shows in Australia & New Zealand. Expect raw energy, chaos, and the sound of rap’s next wave coming alive on stage.

2025 is already moving at full speed — and YT is only just getting started.

Whether in his DJ sets, live performances, or productions, he deconstructs time and space with fierce precision and tactility. Blooom + En:vy - Auckland

FUZEN, LIQUID LOWDOWN AND DROPBASS PRESENT:

BLOOOM + EN:VY

WITH LOCAL SUPPORT FROM SLAPS AND TETHERS

BLOOOM

From a rural German town to playing stages around the world, Michael Schlechtinger – also known as Blooom, has had a meteoric rise. His journey began at an incredibly formative age: from fifteen, he immersed himself within electronic music, despite not even being allowed to enter club spaces yet. And whilst many of his counterparts have stories of finding a love for dance music through family ties, it was his own interests which drove him headfirst into the intricacies of music production.

Reflected in his influences, ranging from Skrillex to Noisia and Lido, Blooom’s artistic vision gets fuelled by an overarching aesthetic rather than just being based solely across different genres. The diversity of his sound – rooted in an American Hip-Hop addiction, mixed with his underlying penchant for pop music as well as a love for an enigmatic atmosphere – has gained him considerable attention. Besides winning a remix competition for Koven’s anthem “Gold” and thus releasing on labels such as Monstercat, NCS and Liquicity, he is already heralded by the likes of Andy C, Camo & Krooked, Friction, Holy Goof, Kanine, Fox Stevenson and many more.

With such high-ranking DJ support to now passing 10 million streams on his Spotify discography alone, Blooom’s name is quickly becoming one of the most hotly tipped currently moving through the ranks. Only just stepping out to show the world what he can achieve, this year has lined up more for his fans like never before, and Blooom is about to further solidify his place within the dance music annals.

EN:VY

Inspired by the likes of Alix Perez, Bredren, Calibre and Skeptical, Jean took up the craft of production back in 2016, having started spinning decks at only 13 years of age. In 2019 he then decided to pursue a degree for music production at BIMM in the Drum and Bass mecca Bristol. Precise, dark, mystic but melodic productions await, paired with both, minimalistic and rolling elements, they constitute a sound profile that goes full circle.

It wasn’t long before his early releases on Flexout Audio and Overview Music reeled in breakthrough support from top tier names like Arkaik, Bredren, Fre4knc, Halogenix, IMANU, Noisia, QZB and many others, underpinning En:vy’s challenge on Drum and Bass’s status quo. Thanks to his unique, but decisive style, he has been triggering goose bumps with his tunes ever since. His latest Binary EP released on Critical is just another testament to that. En:vy 22, is far from done.

Crystal Chen 'You can call me CC' Album Release Show

Join us on Thursday 25 September to celebrate Crystal Chen’s debut studio album ‘You can call me CC’, playing live and direct at Neck of the Woods.

‘You can call me CC’ is the debut album from Chinese-Kiwi singer, musician and visual artist Crystal Chen. Comprised of twelve songs that feel like handwritten journal entries translated into music, the album offers an intimate window into the emotional landscapes, foibles and humour that underpin the unvarnished realities of the metamorphosis of a woman who is the artist and muse.

The work of an old soul with a young heart, or perhaps an analog girl in a digital world, Crystal Chen’s debut album unfolds at its own unhurried pace. The album is influenced by Crystal’s love of jazz and soul, featuring a large ensemble of band members with band tracks recorded live at Roundhead Studios. This is the biggest collaborative project Crystal has worked on, alongside Tāmaki’s finest friends and musicians.

Crystal Chen and band features Joe Kaptein, Francesca Parussini, Ruby Walsh, Adam Tobeck, Michael Howell and Finn Scholes with special guests to be announced.

Broad Spectrum Music Vol.2

Broad Spectrum Music is back for a second night!

The first was a success beyond our expectations and so we've been working hard in the background planning the next entry in this series.

Musicially you can expect Minimal DnB, 140, Breaks, Dubstep and a smattering of subgenres peppered all the way through. Keep an eye on the line up for some returning faces and some new ones.

Production wise, expect something new, something different, something experimental. We came away inspired from the first and are going to roll in with what we hope, will be a unique experience but we'll keep details secret. We want you coming in surprised and delighted by what you find.

We'll also be establishing a flow zone again so bring your neon toys if you want to dance/express yourself to the music that way.

We'll be dropping the line up as we head closer to the event so keep an eye out for that.

As with the previous event, if you are in a financially tight point and want to come, please reach out. We are a community and we're here to provide an inclusive experience which includes making sure everyone has the ability to attend.

SYLC presents Coki (UK)

SYLC Presents: COKI (UK)

Get ready Auckland...

We have secured the one and only Dubstep pioneer, COKI for an intimate rave at everyones favourite K Road bassment, Neck Of The Woods.

Coki has made sine waves move like no other, architecting much of the sonic blueprint that modern dubstep - especially Tearout - has become evolved into. Coki has been there since the genre's inception and over the years, has only gone from strength to strength. Alongside Mala, he helped forge the DMZ sound and label, and he is now making his way to Auckland for a rare showcase of pure low-frequency warfare. Expect heavyweight pressure, bone-rattling subs, and that unmistakable Coki wobble - this is dubstep in its rawest form.

On support we have drawn three of the finest.

Opening up proceedings we have Pash (FKA Candi)! Candice is one third of the killer Norty Club Collective and a main stay of Aotearoa's bass music scene. Pash is an avid Dubstep DJ with respect for the culture and origins who blends the sounds of the roots with the freshest forward thinking cuts. Get down early for the perfect warm up.

Following that, we have Aotearoa's very own Tearout Dubstep king, Kyber. Deegan is coming in fresh off the back of his headline show where he recently shut down Neck Of The Woods. Since then he's only picked up more momentum with his Midnight Request Line rework getting seals of approval from the bggest in the game like Coki's bestie, Mala. His collab with Skream is still one of the moust sought after dubs around and is doing serious damage at some of the biggest stages around the world. Kyber's got plenty of forthcoming bangers and special dubs to share so don't miss out on this killer set.

Last but not least we have the Support Your Local Collective member, PL@ running a full vinyl set - expect rare white labels, heavyweight classics and a few wheel ups for good measure to close out the night.

We’re unbelievably excited to share this night with you all for a dance and are expecting this to be one for the books.

Secure your tickets now and don’t miss out on this special night of bass music with one of the founders of the sound!

Love,
SYLC
