WHAT IT IS presents the return of the Neck of the Woods SCRATCH BATTLE.
$5 on the door for crowd and competitors. Winner takes the door money + more prizes to be announced.
Come see some of Auckland's best turntablists flex for some cold, hard cash.

INFORMATION FOR COMPETITORS: 
Technics turntables, Rane 62 mixers and NI Z2's will be provided. If you want to use other mixers/turntables then that is your responsibility to provide.
There will only be 7 places to go through to the first battle round as the reigning champ Jase Iritate will be defending his title.

This battle is focusing purely on scratching and entrants will be marked on the following criteria:
Musicality
Originality
Technical ability
Performance

First round: All entrants will be given 1 minute. Judges will pick the top 7 to go through to the next round.
2nd Round: Top 7 + defending Champ will be paired off against each other depending on their score from round 1. 1st will battle 8th, 2nd will battle 7th and so on. Each DJ will get 1 minute
3rd Round: Top 4 will paired off against each other from the results of round 2. Each DJ will get 1 minute each.
Final round: Freestyle Scratch. 
The final 2 remaining dj’s will get 3x 1 minute sets each and the beats will be chosen for them ranging in BPM.
